Ongoing Attacks Across Ukraine

According to Главком: Russian forces continue their bombardment of Ukrainian territory. Between June 22 and 23, they launched nearly 50 attacks on the Sumy region, leaving nine people injured. The strikes affected 23 settlements across 13 territorial communities in Sumy Oblast, with the heaviest concentration of fire reported in the Sumy and Shostka districts.

The weapons used by Russian troops included:

  • missiles
  • guided aerial bombs
  • artillery
  • mortars
  • FPV drones
  • other unmanned aerial vehicles

In the Bilopillia community, a missile strike wounded four individuals: three women aged 61, 55, and 42, along with a 30-year-old man. In the Sumy community, guided bomb attacks injured a 57-year-old man, two women aged 35 and 47, and a 41-year-old man. One of these men was hurt by a drone strike. Additionally, a 44-year-old man suffered injuries from the detonation of an explosive device.

In the Vorozhba community, a private home was destroyed, and another house along with farm buildings were damaged. The Khutir-Mykhailivskyi community also reported damage to a residential building. In the Sumy community, civilian infrastructure, non-residential premises, and a car were hit, and a trolleybus was destroyed. The Bilopillia community saw damage to schools, apartment buildings, civilian infrastructure, and private homes. Destruction was also recorded in the Hlukhiv, Yampil, Seredyna-Buda, Znob-Novhorodske, and Esman communities. Overall, 16 people were evacuated from border communities in Sumy region during the day.

Zaporizhzhia Region Under Fire

In addition, over the past 24 hours, Russian forces carried out 1,050 strikes across Zaporizhzhia Oblast, targeting 56 settlements. Seven people were wounded in the region. The occupiers used aircraft, artillery, multiple rocket launchers, and drones in their attacks. The Russian army deployed 769 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types, predominantly FPV drones.

The Sumy Regional Military Administration and the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine report that enemy attacks and destruction continue across the country.

The situation in Sumy and Zaporizhzhia highlights an escalation in the conflict and growing devastation across Ukraine, leading to significant casualties and infrastructure damage.
