Російська армія здійснила потужний напад 24 березня, атакуючи міста Львів, Вінниця та Івано-Франківськ.

Widespread Assault Across Ukraine on March 24

According to Главком: On March 24, Russian forces launched a large-scale attack across Ukraine, targeting multiple cities. This assault resulted in civilian casualties, damage to residential buildings in Lviv, and strikes on critical infrastructure. Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi reported that in the Sykhiv district alone, 19 apartment buildings were damaged and windows were shattered in over 1,300 apartments. The building at 103 Chervona Kalyna Avenue suffered the most severe impact, with two direct hits recorded.

The building at 103 Chervona Kalyna Avenue contains four entrances, 136 apartments, and is home to more than 350 residents. It is currently without gas and electricity. The drone attack on Lviv also caused injuries and damaged a nationally significant architectural monument-the ensemble of the Bernardine Monastery, which is part of Lviv's historic area protected by international conventions.

Strikes Reported in Other Cities

Beyond Lviv, Russian occupiers also struck Vinnytsia, killing a 59-year-old man and wounding others. On the same day, the Russian army hit Ivano-Frankivsk with a 'Shahed' drone, leading to further deaths and injuries. In Zhytomyr, a 12-year-old girl was wounded, while in the Ternopil region, strikes damaged energy infrastructure and an administrative building.

The March 24 attack was one of Russia's largest assaults on Ukraine, involving over 550 attack drones. During the preceding night, Moscow also carried out a combined strike on Ukraine's critical infrastructure using drones and missiles. These attacks are part of a sustained campaign targeting both military and civilian sites.

This assault marks a further escalation of the conflict, demonstrating Russia's capacity for large-scale military operations that have severe humanitarian consequences for the civilian population.

The damage to architectural landmarks and residential buildings underscores the risks faced by civilians and highlights the need for an international response to the aggression. This situation is likely to influence the future shaping of Ukraine's foreign policy and that of its allies, particularly regarding military support and assistance in rebuilding infrastructure.

The recent escalation in hostilities is alarming, especially considering the widespread nighttime assault that occurred just prior to the March 24 attacks. This earlier offensive resulted in significant damage to civilian homes across various regions, highlighting the ongoing threat to non-combatants in Ukraine.
