Російські сили завдали масштабних атак уночі, пошкодивши житлові будинки в Україні.

Attacks Target Multiple Ukrainian Regions

According to Главком: In the early hours of February 26, Russian forces launched a combined assault involving missiles and drones against several Ukrainian regions, resulting in significant damage to residential buildings and civilian infrastructure. The strikes impacted the Vinnytsia, Kyiv, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, and Poltava oblasts. These attacks are part of a sustained campaign targeting Ukraine's energy grid and population centers.

In Vinnytsia Oblast, approximately 20 homes were damaged, with reports of shattered windows and doors, compromised roofs, and cracked walls. One woman sustained injuries during the attack. In Kyiv's Darnytskyi district, a nine-story residential building was also hit and damaged.

Infrastructure Under Fire

The city of Kharkiv came under fire in at least four districts: Shevchenkivskyi, Kyivskyi, Saltivskyi, and Slobidskyi. Russian forces also struck targets in Zaporizhzhia and Poltava Oblast. In Kryvyi Rih, the number of injured civilians rose to two: an 82-year-old woman and an 89-year-old man were hurt in the shelling.

According to data from monitoring channels, the primary targets of the overnight strikes included:

  • Electrical substations
  • An airfield
  • Combined heat and power plants (CHPP)
  • Thermal power stations (TPS)
  • Military-industrial complex facilities

The bombardment caused extensive destruction and has severely affected the civilian population.

These events underscore the ongoing conflict in Ukraine and its direct impact on civilians.

The targeted strikes on critical infrastructure signal an escalation of violence and pose a grave threat to civilian safety. Furthermore, the new damage to housing and utilities is likely to worsen the humanitarian situation in regions already suffering from a prolonged war.
