Russian forces continue to systematically shell civilian infrastructure in Ukraine, increasingly targeting emergency medical service facilities. Ambulance stations, basing points, administrative buildings, medical transport, and most importantly, the medics themselves, who continue their work despite everything, are coming under fire. This is reported by the Ministry of Health, as quoted by 'Glavkom'.
The team of the state institution 'UNPC EMD and MC Ministry of Health of Ukraine' conducted a monitoring of losses in the emergency medical service and disaster medicine system for June and early July 2025. Their data indicate that six medics were injured, two of them as a result of a drone attack on the crew. Additionally, 24 ambulances were damaged, two of which were completely destroyed.
According to glavcom.ua: The events occurring in Eastern Ukraine indicate a continuing threat to medical infrastructure and personnel due to shelling and attacks.
