Four Russian Strikes Hit Yasnohirka: One Dead, Ten Injured Including a Child
Чотири атаки з боку Росії в Ясногірці: один загиблий, десятеро постраждалих, серед яких дитина.

Current Situation in Donetsk Region

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: On October 26, Russian forces launched four attacks on Yasnohirka in Donetsk region, resulting in one fatality and injuries to ten people, among them a 13-year-old girl. Vadym Filashkin, head of the Donetsk Regional Military Administration, reported these casualties and announced a mandatory evacuation of families with children from the Kramatorsk community.

“This is not a whim, but the only way to protect the children,” Filashkin emphasized.

Within the previous 24 hours, Russian troops carried out 29 assaults across Donetsk region. From frontline areas, 253 people were evacuated, including 25 children. Overnight attacks on Zaporizhzhia left four individuals wounded-two women aged 22 and 30, and two men aged 40 and 61. The shelling damaged various properties, including:

  • private homes
  • a commercial building
  • a hotel
  • two buses
  • cars
  • outbuildings

Additionally, three vehicles and dry vegetation caught fire in Zaporizhzhia.

Damage Reported in Other Areas

In Kamianets-Podilskyi district, an energy infrastructure facility was hit, causing emergency power outages. Windows in two residential buildings were broken, but no injuries were reported. In Chernihiv region, two people were wounded following Russian attacks.

During the night of October 26, 2026, Ukraine endured four missile strikes alongside 140 drone attacks using Shahed UAVs. Air defense forces intercepted most enemy targets; however, impacts were recorded at 15 locations. Debris from downed aerial weapons fell in four separate areas.

“Once again, Russian forces are targeting civilians-with children paying the price. These children should never be this close to the front lines,” Filashkin noted.

The situation remains highly volatile, with ongoing evacuation efforts amid escalating conflict.

The intensified violence in eastern Ukraine is marked by increased strikes on civilian sites, causing casualties and widespread infrastructure damage. The evacuation directive for families with children highlights the critical security risks faced by vulnerable populations. Meanwhile, persistent missile and aerial assaults underscore the continuing military operations, posing significant challenges to local residents and authorities striving to maintain safety and stability in the region.

The recent escalation in the Donetsk region is part of a broader pattern of violence, as evidenced by another tragic incident in Chernihiv where Russian forces targeted local businesses, resulting in one fatality and several injuries. This ongoing conflict continues to affect civilians, highlighting the urgent need for protective measures and evacuations in affected areas.
