Business center in Lozova hit in two successive Russian strikes

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Russian forces carried out two successive attacks on a business center in Lozova, a town in Ukraine's Kharkiv region, leaving at least 10 people wounded, according to Serhiy Zelenskyi, head of the Lozova city territorial community. The first impact set the building on fire and caused damage to nearby high-rise residential buildings. Several of the injured are in serious condition.

Emergency services in Lozova are currently operating under emergency conditions. Zelenskyi said the Russians waited, then launched a second strike, indicating that they deliberately intended to cause as many casualties as possible.

"This was a deliberate calculation to maximize casualties: during work hours, with shops, medical and social facilities nearby," said Serhiy Zelenskyi.

Attacks across the region and calls to the public

Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces also struck Kharkiv and 17 other settlements in the Kharkiv region. According to Oleh Syniehubov, head of the regional military administration, 23 people were wounded in these attacks, including two children. In the early hours of August 26, Russian forces targeted Ukrainian regions with missiles and 162 Shahed strike drones, along with decoy drones. Ukraine's defense forces managed to shoot down most of the hostile aerial targets during the attack.

Zelenskyi also urged residents not to gather at the sites of strikes, saying this hinders medics and rescuers.

"You impede medics and rescuers and make yourselves targets for repeated attacks," said Serhiy Zelenskyi.

The situation in the region remains tense, and the work of emergency services continues to be critical to public safety. The incident illustrates the escalation of violence in the area and highlights the growing intensity of military operations in eastern Ukraine.
