Attack on Kyiv on November 29

On November 29, as a result of the Russian attack on Kyiv, two people were killed and 15 were injured, including a child. The attack lasted nine hours and struck several districts of the capital, causing significant destruction.

The attack was carried out using strike drones, 'Kinzhal' missiles, as well as ballistic and cruise missiles. Destruction was recorded in five districts of Kyiv:

  • Darnytskyi
  • Shevchenkivskyi
  • Solomianskyi
  • Dniprovskyi
  • Svytoshynskyi

In the Shevchenkivskyi district, a 14-story residential building was damaged, in the Solomianskyi district debris fell on a 25-story building, and in the Dniprovskyi district a hit on a 10-story building partially destroyed the 6th and 7th floors.

In addition, 56 people were evacuated from damaged buildings in the Brovary district, including three children. The city of Fastiv was also affected: it was left without electricity, resulting in two people being injured. Due to the situation, Poland put its air defense in combat readiness, and Moldova temporarily closed its airspace.

Reaction to the attack

The critical infrastructure of Kyiv switched to backup power, points of resilience are ready to operate, as reported by Ruslan Kalashnik. This attack has become another evidence of the escalation of the situation in the region and the continuation of aggression by Russia.
