Tatyana Tarasova criticized the inclusion of figure skaters in the 'Peacekeeper' database

According to glavcom.ua: The honored coach of the USSR Tatyana Tarasova staged a scandalous performance and called the inclusion of Russian figure skaters Adelia Petrosyan and Alina Gorbacheva in the 'Peacekeeper' resource database madness. This was reported by 'Glavkom'.

In the 'Peacekeeper' database, Petrosyan, who plans to participate in the Olympic Games, and Gorbacheva, who is a reserve player, ended up. Previously, Petr Gumennik, who is also preparing for the Olympics, and reserve Vladislav Dikidzh were also included in the lists.

«What kind of site is this, where they add our outstanding athletes and wonderful children, and want to deprive them of work? They have been working since childhood and will defend the honor of their Motherland. What difference does it make to us what they write there? We know who we are. It was not enough that they would touch our people, our country that we love, in which we grew up, in which we live and will be buried. Crazy. They do not fear God,» stated Tarasova.

The 2026 Olympic Games will take place from February 6 to 22 in Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo.

Sayutina was present at Putin's address to the Federal Assembly

As a reminder, Russian skater Alexandra Sayutina, recognized as a neutral athlete by the International Skating Union (ISU), was present at the annual address of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly.

On February 29, 2024, Sayutina attended Putin's annual address to the Federal Assembly.

Another supporter of Putin, Russian skier Veronika Stepanova, published a photo on Instagram about Sayutina's participation in the propaganda event.

The Russian skater can also be seen in the video broadcast of the event. Together with the neutral athlete Sayutina, supporters of Putin and Russian servicemen involved in the aggression against Ukraine also participated in the propaganda event.

Participation in such events is a violation of the IOC recommendations regarding neutral athletes.

Coach Tatyana Tarasova spoke out against the inclusion of Russian figure skaters in the 'Peacekeeper' database, urging not to mock athletes and not to deprive them of opportunities. At the same time, the Russian skater Alexandra Sayutina, recognized as neutral by the ISU, was spotted at the annual address to the Federal Assembly, which once again highlights the complicated relationship between sports and politics.
