This was reported by the head of the Odesa City Military Administration Serhiy Lysak and the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleg Kiper.

Before the attack, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine warned about a threat related to a reactive drone moving from the Black Sea towards Odesa. There was also a report of the possibility of missile weapon use from temporarily occupied Crimea. Oleg Kiper noted:
