Russian troops are trying to change their combat tactics at the front – ISW
According to glavcom.ua: According to experts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), after unsuccessful attempts to advance towards Konstantinovka in the Pokrovsk direction, Russian troops are now focusing on the northeast of Pokrovsk. Geolocation data from video recordings confirm the movement of troops in this direction.
The strategic move of the troops suggests the creation of a bulge that could pose a threat to Ukrainian forces. This change in tactics occurred after unsuccessful attempts to advance west of Toretsk towards Konstantinovka. This step may help the occupiers gain an advantage in the contest for control over the region.
Updated data on the losses of Russian occupiers, published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, indicate the continuation of active hostilities in the eastern part of the country.
Ukrainian experts note that the change in priorities of Russian troops in eastern Ukraine indicates an intention to initiate new strategic actions in the area. This could affect the course of the conflict in Donbas and require Ukrainian forces to take new measures to defend the territorial integrity of the country.
