Russian troops in Belarus: State Border Guard Service denies troop buildup at the border
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine (SBGS) stated that there is currently no significant buildup of Russian troops at the border with Ukraine. SBGS spokesperson Andriy Demchenko reported that the number of Russian troops arriving for exercises called 'Zapad-2025' is less than in previous years.
Ukraine continues to closely monitor the situation and strengthen defense at the border
At the same time, Poland has decided to deploy about 40,000 soldiers at its borders with Belarus and Russia due to increased tensions following a large-scale drone invasion. This decision was made in anticipation of the expected participation of a large number of military personnel in the 'Zapad-2025' exercises.
During joint exercises of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), military personnel from several countries participated. The exercises were conducted deep within Belarus to avoid provocations and insinuations
It was noted that Poland and Ukraine continue to closely monitor movements at the border and take necessary measures to ensure the security of their territories.
