According to glavcom.ua: The head of the UOC MP Onuphrius turned out to be the owner of a Russian passport, which caused public outrage. According to the SBU, the official received Russian citizenship in 2002, but did not inform the Ukrainian authorities about it. Despite obtaining a Russian passport, he continued to consider himself Ukrainian.
The passport of the head of the UOC MP is valid, according to the Russian passport system
This information contradicts the UOC MP's statements about the absence of Russian citizenship among its representatives. The issue of dual citizenship for church officials in Ukraine remains relevant in the context of geopolitical events and the conflict between Ukraine and Russia.
