The Lithuanian customs confiscated a bottle of vodka from Russian politician Sergey Revenko. He was so upset that he shared his feelings on social media, writes 'Glavkom'.

'At the border with Lithuania, I had a bottle of vodka taken from me. One, the only one, which I mentioned to the customs officer,' Revenko wrote. According to him, the customs officer's face allegedly 'lit up with happiness' and she asked to see the bottle. After inspection, the appropriate act was drawn up.

The Russian politician was also displeased that the act was drawn up in Lithuania in the Lithuanian language. 'We're drawing up the act! In Lithuanian, not additionally in another EU language, German or English, international,' Revenko stated.

Ban on alcohol import into Lithuania from Russia

In June 2024, Lithuania imposed a ban on the import of alcohol from Russia and Belarus. The politician later became aware of this and expressed his outrage, calling the law 'completely racist.'

He also noted that a 'right discourse' predominates in the world today, which could lead to the emergence of 'not the best in human history' new world. Tense relations between Russia and other countries continue to affect international diplomacy.
