According to ДСНС: Rescue operations in the city of Druzhkivka, Donetsk region, have concluded following a Russian airstrike on March 2. The attack resulted in three fatalities and left sixteen people wounded. The body of the final victim was recovered on the third day of the search. This strike is part of a wider pattern of attacks on civilian areas in eastern Ukraine.
The rescue work revealed significant damage to property, including:
- 13 residential buildings;
- 14 automobiles.
Rescue teams cleared 55 tons of debris from collapsed structures. They also extinguished a fire on the third floor of one building and put out blazes in four vehicles. These efforts were carried out under the constant threat of follow-up strikes. The emergency response phase has now ended.
Humanitarian Situation in the Region
This incident underscores the severe humanitarian crisis in active combat zones and the extreme dangers faced by first responders.
