Disruptions to Electricity and Water Supply in Konotop

According to Главком: The city of Konotop, located in Ukraine’s Sumy region, is experiencing major disruptions to its electricity and water services following a Russian attack. Mayor Artem Semenikhin reported that

“the city has been without stable electricity and water supply all day... After their (the occupiers’) strikes, we have not been able to restore the equipment. Water is being supplied on a schedule.”

On June 4, Russian occupation forces struck Konotop with a drone. The attack left the city without running water and partially without power. A fire broke out in a private residence. Five people were injured as a result of the strike, including:

• four children and their mother;
• children born in 2012, 2017, and 2023.

Attack on Zaporizhzhia

On June 6, Russian terrorist forces also targeted the city of Zaporizhzhia. The assault injured a 10-year-old boy and his father. Reports indicate that Russia has adopted a new attack strategy in the region. Ivan Fedorov stated that

“the enemy has refined certain types of munitions. Yesterday, they used a Shahed drone to carry FPV drones into the city center and scattered them randomly over civilian targets.”
