According to Прокуратура Київ: In 2024, the Kyivzelenbud municipal enterprise signed a contract for the capital renovation of 'Hydropark'. As a result of the work carried out, overpayment exceeding 1.2 million hryvnias was discovered. In connection with this, officials and the contractor were informed of suspicions of misappropriation of someone else's property and service forgery.

Among the suspects are the deputy head of the Kyivzelenbud management, the director of a private company, and the estimator of the same organization. According to information, inflated prices for building materials were included in the estimate, which led to significant financial losses.

Sanctions and consequences

The sanctions for the article under which suspicions were raised envisage imprisonment for a term of five to eight years. The investigation is ongoing, and law enforcement agencies continue to clarify the circumstances of the case.

The violations found during the capital renovation of 'Hydropark' indicate possible systemic problems in managing budgetary funds at the state level.
