According to glavcom.ua: Russia has felt the impact of sanctions: it has had to spend more on freight transit, especially on routes to the Kaliningrad region, which has also faced difficulties. Most likely, costs have increased due to quotas and restrictions on transportation through Lithuania.

Currently, sea routes have become more profitable for shipping, but this has caused congestion in the ferry infrastructure. Small businesses have been hit hard, as large companies booked spots in advance using administrative resources, thereby pushing smaller carriers out of the market.

«Sanctions have further deepened socio-economic imbalances in the region, highlighting its vulnerability,» emphasized the Foreign Intelligence Service.

The ongoing conflict and imposed sanctions have led to logistical challenges and a suspicious reduction in transit capabilities through Lithuania. In this regard, Russia is seeking alternative transportation routes, increasing costs and changing the landscape of the logistics market.

As a result of the sanctions, the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council's measures against Russian companies and individuals linked to rare earth metals have further complicated the situation and forced the search for new opportunities to transport goods.
