HUR destroys Russian Niobium-SV radars in Donbas: how it will change the situation in the air
Drone Strike by HUR in Donbas
On November 29, 2025, drones from the Active Actions Department of the Main Intelligence Directorate attacked radars and launchers of the occupiers' air defense systems in Donbas. This was reported by the information portal Glavcom, citing HUR.
In just one night, the scouts damaged the 9A83 launch system from the S-300V air defense system that was on combat duty, as well as two precious radar stations 1L125 'Niobium-SV'.

Intelligence Data
The 'Niobium-SV' radar is designed for detecting aerodynamic and ballistic targets, identifying them, and determining the sources of active interference. It operates at ranges from 5 to 500 km, with a maximum target detection height of 65 km. The maximum speed of targets is 1500 meters per second. The station can simultaneously monitor the movement of up to 300 targets.
The scouts note that such strikes significantly limit the occupiers' ability to control the airspace over Donbas and create conditions for new air operations of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.
It should be noted that the military special unit of HUR of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine 'Phantoms' inflicted another serious defeat on the Russian occupation army.
Furthermore, on November 13, Ukrainian intelligence conducted an operation that blocked an important logistical artery of the Kremlin.
As a result of the drone strike by HUR, the radars and launch systems of the occupiers' air defense in Donbas were damaged. This helps to limit their ability to control the airspace of the region and creates conditions for more active operations of Ukrainian forces.
