Trump frustrated by lack of progress in resolving the conflict in Ukraine

U.S. President Donald Trump expressed his disappointment over the lack of progress from Russia in the peace talks aimed at ending the war in Ukraine. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio emphasized that Trump is demonstrating increasing impatience on this issue.

"He is losing patience, he is losing the willingness to keep waiting for the Russian side to do something".

According to Rubio, despite the 'very good interactions' between Trump and the Russian leader in phone calls, it yields no concrete results. The American diplomat pointed to the bloody conflict with many casualties and destruction, noting that over 100,000 Russian soldiers have died since January this year.

Hopes for the end of the war in Ukraine

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff expressed hope for the end of the war in Ukraine within three and a half years before the end of Trump's presidential term. Witkoff considers achieving peace one of the main tasks of the administration regarding Ukraine and Gaza.

"We will impose very strict tariffs if we do not reach a deal within 50 days. Approximately 100 percent tariffs, they can be called secondary tariffs".

Trump also promises to send American weapons to Ukraine, which European countries plan to purchase. He noted that he is disappointed with the head of the Russian Federation, but 'has not finished his relationship with him yet'.

Trump's administration's position on resolving the conflict in Ukraine is gaining momentum. Dissatisfied with the progress in peace talks with Russia, Donald Trump is demonstrating his dissatisfaction and intent to act more decisively on this issue.
