Rutte and Ermak commented on the possible halt of critically important weapon supplies to Ukraine from the USA
According to hvylya.net: NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte stated that Ukraine greatly needs support from European countries due to the possible halt of critically important weapon supplies from the USA. He mentioned this in an interview with the American TV channel Fox News.
'In the short term, Ukraine will not be able to do without all the support it can get in terms of ammunition and air defense systems,' Rutte emphasized, adding that Europe intends to strengthen its support for the country.
For his part, the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Andrey Ermak, urged citizens not to worry about provocative headlines on social media. He noted that only official information is important and called for not sowing panic.
According to information from Politico, the Pentagon has suspended some supplies of precision-guided munitions to Ukraine, including air defense missiles. The decision was made due to a 'shortage' of these types of weapons for the USA itself. The White House confirmed this information through spokesperson Anna Kelly; however, Ukraine has not received official notifications regarding the halt in supplies. The Ministry of Defense has approached the Pentagon for clarifications, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned a representative of the US embassy for explanations.
Ukraine needs support from NATO and European countries, as weapon supplies from the USA may be suspended. The official Kyiv urged not to spread panic and to trust only official information. Questions regarding the suspension of supplies have already been addressed to the American side, and Ukraine awaits clarifications on this situation.
