Crazy Money. Ex-captain of 'Zoria' revealed how much 'Shakhtar' paid in 2012 for a draw with 'Dynamo'
Former goalkeeper of the Lugansk team 'Zoria', Dmitry Kozachenko, admitted that 'Shakhtar' paid them 1 million dollars for their assistance in the points ban during the match against 'Dynamo'. This information was disseminated by the publication 'Ukrainian Football'.
“Was there stimulation? Of course, there was. For making 'Shakhtar' champions, we were delivered 1 million dollars,” Kozachenko said.
In 2012, 'Dynamo' drew with 'Zoria' in the 29th round, allowing 'Shakhtar' to pull ahead by two points.
In the final round, 'the miners' defeated 'Alexandria' 3:0 and became the holders of the UPL.
'Zoria' saved themselves from relegation, finishing 13th in the standings with 26 points.
'Dynamo' fell behind 'Shakhtar' by four points, drawing in the final round. Thus, 'the miners' became UPL champions.
The Club World Cup 2025 has moved to the Round of 16.

These matches will be the first official ones for 'Dynamo' in the new season. The first match will be played away, and the second – at home.
