Crimean Platform Summit in New York: How the UN Supports Ukraine

The UN Headquarters in New York is preparing to host the fifth summit of the International Crimea Platform, which will take place on September 24. This was announced by Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

'The summit, which will be held on the 80th anniversary of the UN, will reaffirm the global commitment to the goals and principles of the UN Charter: sovereignty, territorial integrity of states, and peace,' noted the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to the Foreign Minister, since 2014, the UN General Assembly has adopted over twenty resolutions confirming that Crimea is Ukraine.

'We invite all peace-loving UN member states to join the summit, support the Charter, and help promote a just and lasting peace in Ukraine in accordance with the principles of the UN Charter,' stated Sybiha.

At the fifth summit of the International Crimea Platform, which will take place at the UN Headquarters, issues concerning the support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as the involvement of the international community in reconciliation efforts in the region, will be discussed. The Foreign Minister urged all UN member states to participate in this important event and support peace on Ukrainian lands.
