SBU: Russian special services may be involved in the murder of Parubiy

According to glavcom.ua: The Security Service of Ukraine announced the possible involvement of Russian special services in the murder of MP Andriy Parubiy. According to special services, the crime was ordered, and the investigation indicates a possible 'Russian trace' in this crime. This information was confirmed by the head of the SBU department in the Lviv region, Vadym Onyshchenko.

According to Onyshchenko, the information about the involvement of Russian special services was obtained as a result of operational actions after the arrest of the suspect. The SBU, together with the National Police and the Office of the Attorney General, is currently examining all possible participants in this crime.

«The crime has signs of being ordered. There is operational information indicating possible involvement of Russian special services in organizing the murder,» emphasized Onyshchenko.

\n\n

It is also important to note that the suspected murderer was detained in less than a day after the attack, and his identity was established even faster, within 36 hours. He has already been charged with intentional murder and illegal possession of weapons under the laws of Ukraine.

Deputy Head of the National Police Andriy Nebytov named the version of a Russian trace in this case as a priority for the investigation. Currently, investigators are focusing on information about a possible Russian order and are doing everything possible to uncover this version.

«We do not rule out the possibility that the suspect attempted to flee abroad. This is being investigated,» Nebytov added.

\n\n

So far, only one person has been charged, a 1973-born resident of Lviv, who lived in Lviv and worked unofficially.

Ukrainian law enforcement agencies report possible involvement of Russian special services in the murder of an MP, they have already detained the suspected murderer and are actively investigating the circumstances of the crime, focusing on the version of a Russian trace. The police do not rule out the possibility that the suspect may have managed to escape abroad. So far, charges have been brought against a resident of Lviv who lived in Lviv and was involved in side jobs.
