Series of Unmanned System Strikes

According to ХВИЛЯ: In the early hours of June 16, Ukrainian unmanned systems forces carried out a series of strikes against targets deep behind Russian lines. Among the hit facilities was the so-called "Bordel" hub in Donetsk, which housed bases of the Somalia and Rubicon units, as well as command personnel from the 9th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade of Russia's 51st Army. The strike on this hub was executed by the 9th Kairos Battalion of the 414th Brigade, known as the Birds of Madyar.

Additionally, an Osa surface-to-air missile system was destroyed near the settlement of Spartak in Donetsk region. A weapons and equipment shelter belonging to the 72nd Motor Rifle Brigade of the 3rd Army Corps was also hit near Debaltseve. Five coastal radar stations in Crimea were eliminated, located near the settlements of Steregushche, Snezhne, Tarkhankut, Portove, and Siverne.

Impact on Combat Readiness

Other strategic assets were also affected during the attacks. The following were struck:

  • a permanent deployment point for fixed-wing drone pilots near Rozdol in Zaporizhzhia region;
  • a drone manufacturing workshop of the 14th Air Assault Brigade in Sokolohirsk, Luhansk region;
  • a drone storage facility of a subunit from the 60th Motor Rifle Brigade of the 5th Army in Mariupol;
  • transport vehicles carrying supplies in Luhansk, Donetsk, and Kherson regions.

Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces Robert Brovdi, call sign Madyar, commented on these events, stating:

“The conveyor of retribution is working”

He added: “The kind of life in the wormhole, such are the brothels.” These remarks underscore the seriousness and determination of the unmanned systems forces in the current situation.

This series of strikes highlights the increased activity and effectiveness of drone technology in the conflict, as well as the ability of Ukrainian forces to hit key enemy military targets. The destruction of such strategic assets could significantly affect the combat readiness of Russian troops in the region, potentially shifting the balance of power on the front line.

In a related context, the recent operations of Ukrainian drone units have not only targeted key infrastructure but also successfully neutralized Russian air defense systems and a tugboat in Crimea. This ongoing campaign underscores the strategic importance of unmanned aerial capabilities in modern warfare.
