The average salary in Ukraine's agricultural sector increased in August 2026

The salary of employees in the agriculture, forestry, and fishing sectors increased in August to 29,541 UAH. Over the month, the average figure rose by just 96 UAH, while overall salaries in Ukraine slightly decreased. This is indicated by data from the State Statistics Service. How the average salary in the agricultural sector has changed

Compared to July, the average salary in agriculture, forestry, and fishing increased by 0.3%. In June, industry employees received an average of 29,205 UAH, while in May it was 28,894 UAH.

Thus, over three months, the figure gradually increased, although the August increase was modest. The data concerns full-time employees of enterprises, institutions, and organizations and does not necessarily reflect the earnings of all employed in the sector.

Salaries in Ukraine and the agricultural sector: comparison for August

On average, full-time employees in Ukraine received 31,892 UAH. This is 23.1% more than in August 2025, but 1.1% less than the July figure. This means that salaries in the agricultural sector were approximately 2,351 UAH lower than the overall Ukrainian average.

The highest average salaries were recorded in Kyiv - 48,705 UAH, Luhansk region - 33,981 UAH, and Kyiv region - 32,404 UAH. Which sectors paid the most and the least

In August, the highest average salary was for employees in the information and telecommunications sector - 79,170 UAH. The lowest was for education employees, 19,109 UAH. The debt for salary payments in Ukraine as of September 1 was 3.8 billion UAH.
