• SPHR and SPHRi: 45 general credits plus 15 business credits.
• GPHR: 45 general credits plus 15 global credits.

Each certification also requires completing at least one ethics activity within the three-year cycle.

The renewal cycle ends on the last day of the certified professional's birth month in the third year. Missing this deadline puts the certification into a suspended status for up to 12 months.
