Ukrainian Defense Operations from March 4 to 6, 2023

According to Главком: Between March 4 and 6, 2023, Ukrainian military units executed strikes against military targets within Russian-occupied territories and inside the Russian Federation itself. These operations successfully hit ammunition depots, air defense systems, command posts, and other critical military infrastructure. These strikes demonstrate Ukraine's growing capacity to project force and disrupt Russian logistics far behind the front lines.

Targets that were struck include:

  • An ammunition depot in the Berdyansky district of the temporarily occupied Donetsk region;
  • A munitions unloading site in Hvardiiske, located in occupied Crimea;
  • Logistics and material storage facilities in Berdiansk and Shevchenkivske in the temporarily occupied Zaporizhzhia region;
  • A logistics depot and a fuel and lubricants storage site near Mariupol;
  • A Russian military command and observation post in the Huliaipole area;
  • A drone control point in Murom, Russia's Belgorod region;
  • A communications tower in Prymorske on the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region.

Strikes on Air Defense Assets

From March 5 to 6, further attacks were carried out against air defense installations. The following were hit:

  • A Pantsir-S1 anti-aircraft missile and gun system near Yakymivka;
  • A Tor air defense missile system near Volnovakha;
  • An S-300 launcher in the Strilkove area;
  • A concentration area for an Iskander operational-tactical missile complex belonging to the 12th Separate Missile Brigade in occupied Crimea;
  • The Vostochnyi (Eastern) training ground near Novopetrivka in Zaporizhzhia;
  • A concentration of enemy personnel near Kolotylivka in Russia's Belgorod region;
  • An ammunition depot near Novooleksiivka in the temporarily occupied Kherson region;
  • A technical observation post on the self-elevating drilling rig 'Sivash' in the Black Sea.

During these operations, a Russian Ka-27 helicopter was also destroyed.

These military actions underscore the continuation of active Ukrainian operations in occupied territories, aimed at degrading the enemy's military infrastructure and weakening its frontline capabilities. Strikes on critical targets like ammunition depots and air defense systems can significantly impact the operational situation, reducing the Russian military's ability to conduct offensive actions. These events are part of the ongoing conflict in the region, which continues to escalate and has profound implications for European security and stability.
