Agricultural Food Markets in Kyiv

According to Главком: Residents of Kyiv will have the opportunity to purchase fresh food at affordable prices at agricultural markets taking place across the city on April 18 and 19. These markets are a key initiative by the city to support food security and provide direct access to farmers. Social assistance tents will also be operating at the markets, offering essentials like soup vegetables, groceries, cereals, pasta, sunflower oil, and sugar.

  • Tatarska Street, 32-38.

In addition to these temporary markets, Kyiv's municipal markets continue regular operations. Their addresses are:

  • KP Volodymyrskyi Market – Antonovycha Street, 115;
  • KP Zhytnii Market – Verkhnii Val Street, 16;
  • KP Bessarabskyi Market – Bessarabska Square, 2.

These events coincide with a notable price drop for white cabbage on the Ukrainian market, with costs falling by an average of 22% over the past week. This decline is attributed to a deterioration in the quality of the stored 2025 harvest. Consequently, the markets offer a chance for residents to buy fresh produce and benefit from favorable prices on staple foods.

These markets represent a crucial measure to support the population amid the rising food prices observed across Ukraine.

They ensure access to fresh, quality products while creating opportunities for local producers. The reduction in cabbage prices may stimulate demand for vegetables and improve the overall food affordability situation in the capital.

As the agricultural markets in Kyiv bring fresh produce to residents on April 18 and 19, it's worth noting that similar events have been successfully held in the past.
