The club noted him as a 'fast, energetic forward with an aggressive and active playing style'. Cristian joined the 'Watford' academy in 2023, moving from Chelsea's youth system. Last season, he scored 11 goals and provided 8 assists in youth competitions.
Cristian Shevchenko, the son of UAF president Andriy Shevchenko, has signed his first professional contract with the English 'Watford'. This was reported by 'Glokom' referring to the club’s official website. 'Watford' plays in the Championship - the second tier of English football.
Born in London, Cristian Shevchenko received Ukrainian citizenship in March 2024, after which he debuted for Ukraine's youth team (U19). His first game for the team was on March 20 against North Macedonia, where he came on as a substitute in the 79th minute. In total, Shevchenko Jr. has 11 matches for the 'blue-yellow', as well as participation in the semi-final of the youth Euro-2024.
