Artem Yuran was born in Germany, and the last club he played for was Turkish 'Serikspor', where his father was a coach. Sergey Yuran, Artem's father, was born in Luhansk and started his career with the 'Zorya' team. In 1988 he moved to 'Dynamo', where he became a champion and won the USSR Cup, after which in 1991 he moved to Portugal.

Some Russian athletes, including skater Aleksandr Sayutin, who was recognized as a neutral athlete, participate in propaganda events.
