Heatwave Alert: Temperatures Soaring to 36°C as Dangerous Weather Approaches

Heat up to +36°C in meteorologists warning
Спека безпрецедентних масштабів: Очікується підвищення температури до 36°C в умовах небезпечних погодних явищ.

Warning: Hazardous Weather Conditions Ahead

According to Главком: Meteorologists have issued a caution for potentially severe weather across Ukraine on June 30. According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, thunderstorms are expected in the afternoon across Transcarpathia and the Carpathian region, with some areas facing hail and wind gusts reaching 15–20 m/s. A Level I (yellow) danger alert has been declared, signaling the need for heightened caution as conditions deteriorate. For context, this warning is part of a broader pattern of extreme weather affecting Europe this summer.

Forecast for the Coming Days in Ukraine

From June 29 through July 5, most regions of Ukraine can expect dry and sunny weather. Air temperatures will climb to +30…+35°C, and in some southern and western areas, they may hit +36°C. However, brief thunderstorms with rain are possible in western and northern regions. Notably, the heatwave sweeping through Western and Central Europe has been recorded as the most intense in the history of meteorological observations.

Officials warn that these conditions could disrupt energy, construction, and utility operations, as well as transportation. The ongoing European heatwave would have been nearly impossible without human-driven global warming.

The significance of this forecast lies in the added strain on energy and utility systems, which could lead to interruptions in electricity and water supplies.

Residents are urged to exercise caution during adverse weather and to follow local authorities' safety recommendations. This situation underscores the critical need to monitor climate change and its impact on regional weather patterns and infrastructure.

As the heatwave intensifies, it's crucial to stay informed about the evolving weather conditions. Recent forecasts indicate a significant shift this weekend, with potential storms and hail expected to disrupt the current heat.
