Announcement of new Skoda Auto electric vehicles

According to Главком: The Czech automaker Skoda Auto is announcing the development of a new generation of electric vehicles as part of its 2026 strategy. This strategy involves the transformation of the model range, including the serial electric SUV Vision 7S and the compact crossover Skoda Epiq.

Key innovations for 2026

The key innovation of 2026 will be the production version of the Vision 7S concept, which is a large seven-seat electric SUV that will succeed the Kodiaq model. The Vision 7S will have a range of up to 600 km according to the WLTP cycle, and its battery will have a capacity of 89 kWh. Charging for this SUV will support powerful terminals up to 200 kW, allowing the battery to be charged from 10% to 80% in just 30 minutes. The interior of the Vision 7S will be arranged in a '6+1' configuration, which includes a central child seat.

The world premiere of the compact crossover Skoda Epiq will take place in the first half of 2026. The price of the Skoda Epiq is expected to be below €25,000 (around $27,000). The crossover will be 4.1 meters long and have a trunk capacity of 475 liters, with a range exceeding 400 km. The Skoda Epiq will be built on the MEB Entry platform, and all new models in 2026 will feature a new philosophical design called 'Modern Solid'.

The launch of new electric vehicles by Skoda Auto as part of the 2026 strategy is part of a global trend toward electrification in the automotive industry. This initiative meets consumer demands and increasingly stringent environmental standards. The development of models with a large range and fast charging can strengthen Skoda's position in the electric vehicle market, which continues to grow in popularity among buyers. Thus, the company aims to adapt to new conditions and meet the demands of modern drivers.
