Sociologist Antipovich on the state of society: depression, adaptation to war, and new expectations
Emotional state of Ukrainian society
According to Главком: Sociologist Oleksiy Antipovich described the emotional state of Ukrainian society, which is experiencing depression, a decline in expectations from international partners, and adaptation to war. In his analysis, he noted that in 2022 Ukrainians felt pride, in 2023 - uncertainty, in 2024 - hope, and currently there is a state of depression.
Ukrainians' thoughts on the war
According to the Razumkov Center, 18.2% of Ukrainians would agree to end the war with Russia in exchange for a neutral and non-nuclear status for Ukraine. At the same time, 62% of Ukrainians are ready to endure the war as long as necessary, indicating the society's readiness for long-term trials.
Oleksiy Antipovich emphasized that hopes for their own movement towards victory remain, as Ukrainians see strikes on Russian territory and take pride in this. However, they also understand that these actions alone will not lead to victory.
'Yes, we have gotten used to war,' noted Oleksiy Antipovich, emphasizing the adaptation of society to difficult conditions.
The current state of our society was also characterized by Yevhen Holovakha, who confirmed that in wartime conditions Ukrainians continue to fight despite emotional difficulties.
The situation in Ukrainian society reflects a complex balance between adaptation to war and the desire for normalization of life. Despite emotional difficulties, most Ukrainians demonstrate a readiness for long-term trials, which indicates their resilience and aspiration for victory. These moods may influence the further development of events in the country and relations with international partners.
