NBU reveals the cost of war for business: a study of the consequences of occupation
Today, November 7, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, there will be an open research seminar by the NBU 'Direct and Indirect Cost of War: A Case of Ukrainian Enterprises'. The seminar speaker, Anna Onyshchenko (Bank of England), will discuss the consequences of Russian occupation for Ukrainian businesses in 2022-2023. The results of her study, conducted in collaboration with Andriy Tsapin (NBU) and Vitalii Yaremko (Trinity College Dublin), indicate significant economic losses due to occupation, driven by reduced demand, labor shortages, and disrupted supply chains.
We invite all interested parties to join the seminar. Registration is available via the link. The language of the event is English.
At the seminar, Anna Onyshchenko will talk about the impact of Russian occupation on Ukrainian businesses, sharing the results of the study with colleagues from the NBU and Trinity College Dublin.
