The government allocated a billion for frontline communities: what the funds will be used for
According to Кулеба: During the government meeting today, important decisions were made regarding frontline territories. In particular, frontline communities will receive nearly 1 billion UAH in additional funding. This money will be directed towards the arrangement of shelters, repair of heating networks and infrastructure, as well as purchasing equipment and fuel for communal enterprises. All of this will help communities operate without delays and provide residents with necessary services.
New mechanisms for rapid reconstruction of housing after shelling have also been approved. Now, communities can independently initiate repairs after receiving a technical inspection. This allows for quick responses to people's needs and restores housing where it is possible today.
Moreover, Ukraine is joining the OECD Regional Policy Committee. This will open access to the experience of 38 countries and allow for the implementation of effective regional recovery methods. Together with experts, a new strategic planning system for regional development over the coming years is being developed, which will take into account the specifics of each territory.
