Russian missile over Ternopil in 2025: 175 foreign parts discovered

Our teams – Ukraine and the U.S. – will work on the points of the plan to end the war. We are ready for constructive, honest, and prompt work.

I separately informed about the terrible strike by Russia on Ternopil. The Kh-101 missile, which the Russian army used yesterday to hit an ordinary residential building, was manufactured in 2025. It contains 175 foreign components that still end up in Russia circumventing sanctions. We hope for U.S. assistance in limiting all schemes. I provided Secretary Driscoll with specific materials containing information about companies that manufacture critical components, the countries of origin, and these very parts.

Peace is needed, and we appreciate the efforts of President Trump and his team in the interest of restoring safety in Europe. Ukraine is defending lives and independence thanks to the courage of our people, our unity within the state, and the assistance of our partners. We are working to ensure all three elements are strong enough. Glory to Ukraine!

Ukrainian and American teams discussed plans for ending the war and establishing peace, as well as responses to aggressive actions by Russia, particularly strikes on peaceful civilians. We also discussed new opportunities for cooperation and strengthening security in the region.
