Special Forces Operation Achieves Success in Zaporizhzhia

According to Главком: Special operations units from Ukraine's Defence Intelligence Directorate (GUR) have executed a successful offensive action in the Zaporizhzhia sector. The operation, carried out by the Artan unit and the GUR's Department of Active Operations, resulted in the destruction of forward Russian assault groups and the targeting of enemy troop and equipment concentrations, with dozens of occupiers eliminated. A key objective was the severing of critical Russian logistical arteries.

Commander of the Artan unit, Viktor Torkotiuk (call sign Titan), stated that the actions were conducted in close coordination with other GUR units and Ukraine's Defence Forces. He emphasized that these measures established a firm foothold for further clearing operations and the final expulsion of enemy forces from a settlement. Preventing a Russian breakthrough toward the outskirts of Zaporizhzhia remains a primary goal. The Zaporizhzhia front has been a focal point of intense fighting as Ukraine seeks to disrupt Russia's land bridge to Crimea.

Ukrainian Officials Counter Russian Disinformation

Separately, Ukrainian authorities have refuted Russian claims of capturing the Zaporizhzhia region village of Rizdvianka, labeling the report as fake news and disinformation. Ukraine's Defence Forces also denied reports that their troops were encircled in Rodynske, located in the Donetsk region. Rodynske remains under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, with supply routes to the town functioning normally. Such disinformation campaigns are a common feature of the ongoing conflict.

This operation underscores the active and strategic efforts of Ukrainian forces in the vital Zaporizhzhia region.
