According to НОК: At the European Championship in Lublin, 18-year-old Nikita Sheremet won silver in short course swimming. This was his debut at the European Championship.

In the 50-meter freestyle final, Nikita showed a fantastic time of 20.81 seconds. This result earned him a silver medal at Euro-2025, a new national record, and a world junior record.

“I am very grateful for such an impressive success in my career. Thank you to everyone who supported and believed in me!” - noted Nikita Sheremet.

A few days ago at the stage as part of the men's relay in the 50-meter freestyle, Sheremet set both the national and world record at 20.84 seconds. In the final, he further improved his result by 0.03 seconds.
