FAA warns US airlines about the dangers of flying over Venezuela
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) emphasizes that the situation regarding flight safety over Venezuelan territory is becoming increasingly tense. A significant factor in this is the rise in military activity and threats to aviation safety in this region.
According to the FAA report, there is a risk for aircraft at any altitude due to potential obstacles to navigation systems and the activation of military exercises. This leads airlines to take additional safety measures in case of flights to this area.
Airlines cease flights over Venezuela
In light of these warnings, several airlines, such as American Airlines and Delta Air Lines, have already stopped flights over Venezuela, while United Airlines has not yet provided comments. Meanwhile, the FAA does not prohibit flights but establishes a mandatory pre-registration procedure for planned routes for the safety of passengers and crews.
