The Ukrainian Basketball Team Begins Qualification for the 2027 World Cup: The Squad Has Been Named

According to glavcom.ua: The men's basketball team of Ukraine is preparing to start the qualification for the World Cup 2027. The first matches will take place on November 27 and 30 this year in Tbilisi and Riga, respectively.

However, due to injuries, two players are absent from the squad: Issuf Sanon and Vitaliy Zotov. The head coach emphasized, 'We need to tackle the task with the squad we have, and we will prepare for the important meetings with Georgia and Denmark.'

The qualification phase for the World Cup has begun, which will last until July 2026. The Ukrainian team has already shown itself in the pre-qualification, defeating teams from Slovakia and Switzerland.
