Strategic enterprises can temporarily employ military personnel: new rules

Entering into force of the new law in Ukraine

According to ХВИЛЯ: From December 2023, a law will come into effect in Ukraine allowing strategically important enterprises in the defense sector to temporarily employ military personnel without proper documentation for up to 45 days. This initiative is aimed at providing staffing support to enterprises that perform important tasks for national security.

According to the new regulation enshrined in Law of Ukraine No. 4630-IX, enterprises can take advantage of the opportunity for the temporary reservation of military personnel for a period of up to 45 days within a calendar year. It is important to note that the opportunity to utilize this reservation is provided only once a year.

These changes are intended to simplify the employment process for enterprises that need additional workforce for fulfilling state defense orders.
