The Court Found the Woman Guilty of Obstructing the Activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

The Odesa District Court convicted a local resident for hindering the activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during a special period. The corresponding decision was made in a criminal case numbered 522/3258/25.

According to the prosecution, the woman published videos on her TikTok page from December 2024 to January 2025, capturing mobilization efforts, including the handing out of summons and work at checkpoints.

Experts believe that the accompanying comments to these videos had a negative impact on the morale of the troops and could be used by the enemy to change military tactics against Ukraine.

The court supported the prosecutor, recognizing TikTok videos as evidence in the criminal proceedings. The court emphasized that even without malicious intent, such actions pose a threat to national security.

Sentence for the Woman in the Case of Obstructing the Armed Forces

The woman was sentenced to five years in prison but will be released on a two-year probation period according to the Criminal Code. She is also required to regularly report to the probation service and notify about any changes in her place of residence, work, or education.

It is reminded that other officials of the Odesa City Council have been charged with embezzlement of over 1.6 million UAH during procurements for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

In the case of the woman who obstructed the activities of the Armed Forces, the court found her guilty and imposed a sentence, but decided to release her on probation. The court's decision is an important step in eradicating similar violations that threaten national security.
