The SBU warned Ukrainians about the danger in Iran: what is known about the situation
Ukrainian intelligence advises citizens to refrain from traveling to Iran due to the tense situation in the country. Important factors in the conflict are economic problems and rising repression, reports Glavkom citing the SBU.
According to intelligence, a sharp deterioration in the economic situation and mass power outages have put significant pressure on the Tehran government. The blockade of roads in the southern part of the country by protesters is just one manifestation of the social conflict.
“In everyday life, there has also been a rapid rise in prices for basic products. Prices for bread and other goods are increasing, which is an additional factor of tension in society,” intelligence emphasizes.
Due to the crisis situation in Iran, actions against independent media have intensified. Journalists and their relatives receive threats from the security services, reminiscent of the events of 2022, when journalist Nilufar Hamedi was arrested after her investigations sparked mass protests in Iran.
Sources also remind of the explosion at a missile warehouse in Shiraz and a possible strike on the IRGC, although this information has not yet been confirmed by the official side of Iran.
