Tyson Fury challenges Usyk again for a third fight: what the undisputed champion replied
Boxing fans may once again witness a bout between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. The Brit publicly challenged the Ukrainian for a third fight, and the undisputed heavyweight champion quickly agreed to the rematch. This is reported by The Ring Magazine.
Tyson Fury proposed a third fight to Usyk
The 37-year-old Fury recorded a video message, which was published on the social networks of Saudi promoter Turki Al Sheikh.
The Brit stated that he wants to have a bout with Anthony Joshua first, and then meet Usyk again.
Throughout his address, Fury jokingly referred to the Ukrainian as "the rabbit" and claimed that a fight with him could bring Usyk the biggest payday. He also suggested several possible cities for the bout:
- London;
- Las Vegas;
- New York.
What Oleksandr Usyk responded
The Ukrainian champion did not delay his response. On his social media, Usyk agreed to a third bout and stated that he is ready to fight "in any part of the world".
In response, Usyk also joked about his opponent, calling Fury "a greedy belly". Thus, the Ukrainian boxer traditionally responds to the British fighter's jokes about his physical attributes.

When could Usyk — Fury 3 take place
Despite the statements from both boxers, the likelihood of a third fight taking place as early as 2026 seems low for now.
It is expected that in the second half of the year, Fury may have a bout with Joshua. Meanwhile, Usyk has his own fight schedule and mandatory title defenses.
Preliminary estimates suggest that the most realistic timeframe for the third confrontation is 2027.
The first two fights between Usyk and Fury were among the loudest bouts in the modern heavyweight division. The Ukrainian won against the Briton twice and retained his championship belts.
For Ukrainian fans, this means that the saga of one of the major boxing rivalries of recent years could have yet another big rematch.
It is worth noting that the winner of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Rico Verhoeven will receive a special WBC belt "King of the Nile". This bout will take place on May 23 in Giza, Egypt, near the pyramids.
