Electricity tariffs will rise for citizens
According to a letter from the Ministry of Economy, starting in 2026, the cost of electricity for ordinary citizens will rise by 15% annually. However, fluctuations of this figure by up to 5% in either direction are possible, meaning potential increases of 10% to 20% per year.
Ukrainians were informed when and by how much electricity tariffs will soar.
The energy regulator has also raised electricity transmission tariffs for some regional energy companies after analyzing their operations. The additional funds from the new tariffs are planned to be used to settle debts to 'Ukrenergo' and prepare the energy system for winter.
Currently, Ukrainians pay 4.32 hryvnias per kilowatt-hour of electricity during the day and 2.16 hryvnias at night. If this trend continues, by 2028 the price may exceed 6 hryvnias per kilowatt.
Danger of drinking water
Recall that earlier Ukrainians received warnings about the quality of drinking water.
