Heating subsidies: who needs to personally contact the Pension Fund
The company 'Hvylya' reported that, in connection with the start of the heating season, Ukrainians were explained how to reassign subsidies for utility services. This information was provided by the press service of the Pension Fund.
The heating season begins in October, along with it new rules for obtaining housing subsidies come into effect. The Pension Fund will automatically continue payments to citizens who already have subsidies or received a 'zero' subsidy this summer. These individuals do not need to apply on their own.
Who must contact in person:
- Those who are applying for the first time
- Recipients who were denied a subsidy for the summer period due to debts or lack of income
- Those who have changed their family composition or social status
Who needs to contact under special circumstances:
- Individuals who are registered at one address but reside at another
- Military personnel receiving a subsidy not at their place of service
- Tenants who pay utility bills independently
Citizens who did not apply for a subsidy in the summer must urgently contact the Pension Fund by any convenient way.
Terms and conditions for receiving a subsidy
The subsidy is granted from the moment the application is submitted and until the end of the heating period. If one applies in the first two months of the heating season, the subsidy will be calculated from the beginning of the period.
Income calculation for receiving a subsidy
When determining the size of the 'winter' subsidy, incomes for the first and second halves of the current year are taken into account, as well as pensions for August.
Ukrainians were explained how to reassign subsidies for utility services with the start of the heating season. Some categories of citizens can expect automatic extension of subsidies, but there are also those who need to personally submit an application to the Pension Fund. This is important for those applying for the first time, those who have received a denial, or those who have experienced changes in family composition or social status. Special circumstances are also highlighted when citizens must actively apply for subsidies.
