Timur Mindich has filed a lawsuit against Yaroslav Zheleznyak over statements on social media
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak stated that businessman Timur Mindich has filed a lawsuit against him for the protection of honor, dignity, and business reputation. The lawsuit pertains to the politician's statements on social media and his YouTube channel.
Timur Mindich's lawsuit against Yaroslav Zheleznyak
According to Zheleznyak, the lawsuit was filed on March 5 at the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. The interests of the plaintiff are represented by lawyer Vladislav Tepliuk.
The people's deputy reported that the lawsuit relates to information he disseminated in public resources, including:

on the YouTube channel;

in the Telegram channel;

in public statements by the politician.
The plaintiff's lawyer stated in comments to the media that his client is asking the court to compel Zheleznyak to refute the information that he considers false.
The amount of the lawsuit is 200 hryvnias in compensation.
The court case may relate to anti-corruption investigations
Zheleznyak connects the lawsuit to public statements regarding figures from anti-corruption investigations, including the case that the media calls «Midas».
The politician stated that he previously mentioned Mindich multiple times in his materials and videos. He also emphasized that his team submitted materials to law enforcement agencies as part of the investigations.
The people's deputy added that the hearing of the case is to take place in the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv. According to him, the judge appointed is Serhiy Vovk.
Zheleznyak noted that he expects further consideration of the lawsuit and details to emerge after the case materials are made public.
