After Divorce, Ukrainian MP Mykola Tyshchenko Calls Himself a 'Free Falcon'
Mykola Tyshchenko Opens Up About His Personal Life
According to Главком: Ukrainian lawmaker Mykola Tyshchenko has revealed that he is divorced and the father of two sons. He says he maintains good relationships with both of his former wives. Tyshchenko made the remarks in a recent public statement, offering a glimpse into his private life amid ongoing political and legal scrutiny.
“I am divorced. I have two wonderful sons. My relationships with all my ex-wives are good. I see myself as a democratic, modern person. So I can’t say whether being married or divorced is good or bad.” - Mykola Tyshchenko
Political Activity and Criminal Case
In addition to his personal disclosures, Tyshchenko is currently implicated in a criminal case involving the alleged unlawful detention of Dmytro Mazokha, a former member of the Kraken special forces unit under the Defense Ministry’s Main Intelligence Directorate. Politically, Tyshchenko serves as a non-faction MP and recently joined a newly formed parliamentary group. He has also publicly criticized his time in the Servant of the People party, adding:
“I am not married. Let’s say I’m a free bird. A falcon. A free Ukrainian falcon.” - Mykola Tyshchenko
These developments continue to draw attention to both the personal and professional life of the deputy, which could influence his future political career. As the parliament undergoes reshuffling and new deputy groups gain momentum, Tyshchenko’s position may face increased scrutiny from voters and political analysts. His statements on his marital status, made against the backdrop of an ongoing criminal investigation, could also shape public perception of him as a figure - and in turn, affect his political prospects going forward.
As Mykola Tyshchenko navigates his personal and political challenges, his legal troubles continue to escalate. Recently, a court decision extended the pre-trial measure against him in a case linked to the alleged kidnapping of a member of the Kraken special forces. This ongoing situation adds another layer of complexity to his already scrutinized public image.
