Tragedy in Zaporizhzhia: a 17-year-old boy drowned while swimming
According to glavcom.ua: A terrible tragedy occurred in Zaporizhzhia: a 17-year-old teenager drowned while swimming. This information was reported by 'Glavkom', citing the State Emergency Service.
According to rescuers, the young man decided to dive into the water in a flooded quarry in Zaporizhzhia, but did not come up to the surface. Divers from the State Emergency Service and an underwater drone were involved in the search.
The body of the deceased boy was found the next day at a depth of 10 meters, 10 meters from the shore. Rescuers brought him to the surface and handed him over to the police.
'We urge once again: do not violate safety rules while resting by the water. Swim only in designated places! Take care of your life!', the State Emergency Service emphasized.
A similar tragedy occurred in Chernihiv, where a 17-year-old girl drowned in the Desna River.
According to the State Emergency Service, the accident happened at the local beach 'Golden Coast' today after lunch, in front of holidaymakers.
