According to Главком: A tragedy occurred in a maternity hospital in Kyiv: a 36-year-old woman died after a difficult delivery during which her baby was stillborn. It has been established that the mother did not receive adequate medical care, which led to serious complications. According to information, the woman died due to internal organ damage and massive bleeding.

Responsibility of Medical Personnel

The responsibility for inadequate care lies with a 50-year-old obstetrician-gynecologist, who failed to provide the necessary postpartum care. As a result, the woman has been notified of suspicion under part 1 of Article 140 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. According to this article, the penalty provides for imprisonment for up to two years.

This tragedy is part of a series of incidents related to medical services in Kyiv. Currently, an investigation is underway into another case: the death of a 10-year-old child after anesthesia was administered in a children's hospital. The situation raises serious concerns among the public regarding the quality of medical services provided in public institutions.

The maternity hospital where the tragedy occurred belongs to the KNP 'Kyiv City Center for Reproductive and Perinatal Medicine' (Maternity Hospital No. 4). The authorities promise a thorough investigation and the implementation of all necessary measures to prevent similar incidents in the future.
